Our mission at Cogent is to help both brands and early-stage technology companies by curating people and businesses that can benefit from each other while building upon their individual networks for professional and personal growth. We operate in an era where access to capital is plentiful, which can be a blessing and a curse. This capital allows people with great ideas to execute their vision and potentially bring them to market. At the same time, having so many businesses to choose from can be overwhelming to brand professionals trying to choose the best solutions for their respective businesses. When Cogent was created, there were 21 different Lumascapes with a minimum of 6 different categories in each, adding up to thousands of solutions. Add to this, all the companies that haven’t made it on to a Lumascape yet and you can begin to understand why brands are overwhelmed with options. It’s impossible for brands to evaluate every new technology company that comes to market and thats where Cogent comes in. By
