COOPERATIVA CENTRAL AURORA ALIMENTOS

Cooperativa Central Aurora Alimentos is one of Brazil’s largest industrial complexes and global reference in meat processing technology, with 11 affiliated cooperatives plus 100 thousand associate members and 40 thousand employees. Its operation covers the industrialized pork, poultry meat, and dairy markets, forming a broad mix consisting of more than 850 products.

1969 marks the beginning of the history of one of the largest food cooperatives in Brazil: Cooperativa Central Aurora Alimentos. An audacious and visionary project that transforms the reality of thousands of families, no longer just producers of raw materials, to become rural producers associated with a food production cooperative. Four years after its foundation, Aurora Coop opens, in Chapecó (SC), its first factories—of animal feed and meat, acquired from Frigorífico Marafon along with the Aurora product brand.
