Why Sudoku Secretly Drives Me Crazy (But I Still Play It Every Day)There are only two kinds of people in this world:

Those who play Sudoku for fun, andThose who play it to suffer — but pretend it’s “relaxing.”I am, unfortunately, the second type.

Every morning, I tell myself, “Just one puzzle with my coffee — you’ve got this.” Thirty minutes later, I’m arguing with a 9x9 grid like it personally insulted my intelligence.

And yet, I keep coming back. Every. Single. Day.

The Calm Before the StormIt always starts the same.

I open my Sudoku app, sip my coffee, and feel this weird sense of zen. The grid looks clean, innocent, and full of possibility. The first few numbers fall into place like magic.

“Oh, this one’s easy,” I whisper to myself, filled with false confidence.

Ten minutes later, I’m sweating. My coffee’s cold. My sanity’s gone. There are four empty boxes left, and somehow every possible number breaks the logic.

At this point, I’m questioning not only my math skills but my entire existence.

That One Number That Ruins EverythingIf you’ve ever played Sudoku, you know the moment.

You’ve been filling boxes, feeling smart, maybe even humming to yourself — and then suddenly, you realize something doesn’t fit. A single “5” ruins the entire puzzle.

You erase it, but now nothing makes sense. You start tracing back your steps like a detective in a crime scene.

“Where did it all go wrong?”

Spoiler: it went wrong three boxes ago when you confidently placed that 7 without checking the column.

That one mistake spreads like wildfire. It’s not just a wrong number — it’s betrayal. Pure, mathematical betrayal.

The Great Internal Monologue of a Sudoku PlayerEvery Sudoku session is basically an emotional roller coaster.
