Naushad Parpia: Navigating the New York Business Ecosystem from Tech to Wellness
Share article
New York City is arguably the most competitive business arena in the world. It is a city that rewards relentless ambition, speed, and execution. But the "New York hustle" also comes with a notorious burnout rate. To build not just one, but two highly successful companies in this environment requires a unique blend of operational strategy and personal discipline.
Serial entrepreneur Naushad Parpia has spent his career mastering the New York business landscape. From leading a high-growth enterprise technology firm to launching a disruptive consumer wellness brand, his journey offers a masterclass in adapting to the city's fast-paced demands while staying anchored to a larger purpose.
Conquering the NYC Tech Scene
Armed with a degree in Finance and Information Systems from the University of Virginia, Naushad stepped into the New York tech sector with a clear vision: bridge the gap between complex technological architecture and human-centric business strategy.
He founded Plative, a digital transformation and management consultancy, and took on the role of Chairman. In a city where tech firms fiercely compete for top talent and market share, Naushad differentiated Plative by focusing inward. He built a corporate culture rooted in trust, transparency, and employee empowerment. This sustainable approach to growth paid massive dividends. Under his leadership, Plative became a dominant force in the New York tech ecosystem, earning a spot on the Inc. 5000 list of America's fastest-growing private companies for five consecutive years.
A New Chapter in New York: The Birth of Earthside Farms
After conquering the enterprise technology space, Naushad’s personal passions began pointing him toward a completely new industry. As someone deeply invested in fitness and longevity science, he recognized a glaring issue that was especially prevalent in New York: busy professionals needed convenient, on-the-go snacks, but the market was saturated with highly processed, sugar-laden products.
In February 2022, he pivoted to the consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector to launch Earthside Farms. Operating out of the greater New York area, the brand was built to eliminate the compromise between convenience and health. Earthside Farms specializes in nutrient-dense snacking alternatives, such as low-sugar candied nuts and premium dried fruits. By demanding clean-label integrity and transparent, ethical sourcing, Naushad is bringing a new standard of wellness to the modern grocery aisle.
Balancing the Hustle with Mindful Living
How does a CEO manage the intense pressures of the New York market while pivoting across industries? For Naushad, the secret lies in his strict adherence to a "growth mindset" and uncompromising daily habits.
He treats physical and mental wellness as non-negotiable pillars of his business strategy. His mornings in the city start with intention—typically fueling up with a protein shake while listening to an educational podcast or autobiography. To keep his body moving during heavily scheduled executive days, he frequently takes his business calls while walking on a treadmill.
Building a Legacy Beyond the City
While Naushad Parpia’s entrepreneurial roots are deeply embedded in the New York business world, his vision extends globally. He views commercial success as a stepping stone to driving meaningful societal change.
