block blast

Block Blast is a block puzzle game where players place different shapes on an 8×8 grid to clear complete horizontal rows and vertical columns. Unlike traditional falling-block games, the pieces do not drop automatically. Instead, players can take their time deciding where each shape should go, making every placement an important decision.

Each turn provides three blocks that must be placed before the next set appears. Whenever a row or column is completely filled, the blocks in that line disappear, creating more room for new pieces and adding points to the score. However, the challenge gradually increases as empty spaces become harder to manage and larger shapes become difficult to fit into the remaining gaps.

The main goal is to keep the board open for as long as possible while earning the highest score. Players can also create combos by clearing lines across consecutive moves, making careful planning more rewarding than simply placing blocks wherever they fit.
