Removalist Truganina: A Few Honest Tips Before You Book

Truganina has changed a lot. Not that long ago, plenty of it was open paddocks. Now there’s a new estate every time you turn off Leakes Road, and on any given Saturday you’ll spot at least one moving truck backed into a driveway. Sometimes it’s ours. We’re Ring A Mover, a local removalist in Truganina, and here’s what we wish more people knew before moving day.

Parking is the real problem

Not the stairs. Not the fridge. Parking.

Ask any Truganina removalist and they’ll say the same. The newer streets out here are narrow, and by Saturday morning there are cars on both sides. If the truck can’t get close, every box gets walked further, and that adds up when you’re paying by the hour. So before we arrive, ask a neighbour to shift their car, or pop a couple of bins out front to hold the spot. Sounds silly. Works every time.

Apartments are a different story. Plenty of buildings want a lift booking, and a few won’t let movers in at all without one. Ring your building manager a week ahead, not the night before.

What it’ll cost you

Our prices are hourly, with two movers included. A 2 ton van starts at $90 to $105 an hour, which is plenty for a studio or a handful of furniture. Most 2 or 3 bedroom houses in Truganina fit in a 6 ton truck, and that’s $145 to $150 an hour. Bigger place? You’ll probably want the 8 or 12 tonner.

Most local jobs wrap up in two to five hours. Packed boxes and a clear path to the door make it quicker. Half-packed kitchens make it slower. We’ve seen both.

If you’re stuck between two truck sizes, give us a ring. We’ll tell you straight which one you need, even if it’s the cheaper one.

Things we won’t do

We won’t hand your job to a subcontractor. The crew who quotes is the crew who turns up. We won’t add a fuel levy or a stair charge at the end. We won’t move anything uninsured. Every job is fully covered.

We work seven days, and most quotes go out the same day.

What we’ll happily move

Full houses, a couple of rooms, one awkward fridge, a piano, a pool table, even your whole office. Don’t feel like packing? We can do that too, and unpack at the other end. Only got a few bits? There’s a man-with-a-van option for that.

Not just Truganina

We’re up and down the west all week, so if you’re heading to Tarneit, Point Cook, Werribee, Hoppers Crossing or Williams Landing, that’s no trouble.
