Creative BioMart Expands TAL/LAL Reagent Portfolio for Endotoxin Detection

Creative BioMart has expanded its portfolio of TAL/LAL reagents to support endotoxin detection across different laboratory testing workflows. The new range brings together multiple assay formats and reagent configurations, giving researchers options for incorporating endotoxin detection into routine laboratory procedures and existing testing systems.

 

TAL/LAL reagents are used in endotoxin detection experiments based on the response of horseshoe crab amebocyte lysate to bacterial endotoxin. Depending on the detection principle, the resulting reaction can be evaluated through gel formation, color development, or turbidity changes. These approaches provide different ways to detect and assess endotoxin in laboratory samples.

 

The expanded portfolio covers three main detection approaches: gel-clot, chromogenic, and turbidimetric assays. Gel-clot reagents provide a conventional approach based on visible clot formation, while chromogenic formats generate a measurable color response. Turbidimetric formats monitor changes in turbidity during the reaction. Kinetic and microscale options are also available within the chromogenic and turbidimetric categories, providing additional flexibility for different experimental setups.

 

The reagents are available in several configurations, including vials, ampoules, and vacuum test tubes. They are supplied as lyophilized powders and are listed for storage at 2–8°C. The range can be used as a supplement to endotoxin testing kits or purchased separately for use with compatible buffers and reaction tubes.
