Audio Visual Installations YorkAcomb Library in York has recently undergone a significant audio visual upgrade, courtesy of a comprehensive installation project. The library’s main room now boasts a state-of-the-art projection system, comprised of a 3-meter Sapphire motorised projection screen, expertly mounted on long wall arm brackets to create a spacious and immersive viewing experience. An Epson 6200 Lumens Short Throw Projector, securely fastened to a Btech ceiling mount bracket, provides crystal-clear visuals, while a local HDMI input plate at the front of the room and a Bluestream transmitter plate at the back, connected to a Bluestream receiver near the projector, facilitate seamless laptop connections.

In addition to the visual enhancements, the library’s sound system has been significantly upgraded with the installation of four Optimal Audio Cuboid 8 speakers and two Sub10 bass speakers. A Cloud Z4 mixer, Crown and Cloud amplification, and a Cloud LM2 and BT2 Bluetooth plate at the front, as well as a Cloud LM2 connection plate at the back of the room, ensure optimal audio quality and flexibility.

The larger meeting room has also been equipped with a Samsung 75″ TV display, a Biamp video conferencing soundbar, four Cloud CSC6 ceiling speakers, and a Cloud LM2 control plate and BT2 Bluetooth connection plate. The smaller meeting room features a Samsung 75″ TV display connected to a Bose VB1 video conferencing soundbar, providing a high-quality audio-visual experience for attendees.

AV Installation YorkTo further enhance the library’s accessibility, an Ampetronic Auri cast Bluetooth hearing system has been installed, complete with four receivers. This innovative system enables users with hearing impairments to connect to the audio feed, promoting inclusivity and equal access to information. The successful completion of this project demonstrates a commitment to providing a modern, technologically advanced environment that supports the needs of library users. With its cutting-edge audio-visual equipment, Acomb Library is now an exemplary model of a community hub, fostering learning, collaboration, and social interaction among its patrons.
