Six years ago, I started a business from scratch. My business partner and I built it from a spare bedroom in a tiny apartment in Miami, FL. In all honesty, we had no idea what we were doing. We made just about every mistake you could make. But fortunately, we found some great mentors. Some we met face-to-face, others we studied from a distance through their books, videos, and events. In our first year of operation, 2012, we generated less than $100,000 in revenue. That’s before expenses, and remember, there were two of us, so we had to split everything!
