Map Project Office is a strategic industrial design studio based in London. Map’s work strives to humanise complex and abstract technologies such as quantum computing and augmented reality, giving them a physical presence that makes them more accessible for the end user. Working collaboratively with global brands and start-ups alike, Map advises on all aspects of a project from initial strategy through to final manufacture. This work is rooted in design and making, and spans across broader disciplines including engineering, digital, science and business. Map was originally formed as a team within furniture design firm Barber & Osgerby to accommodate its growing portfolio of design work for major technology brands. Founded by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, it was spun-off into its own business in 2012, and has since received over 40 awards including Creative Review’s Creative Agency of the Year.
