Frustrated with traditional online ad services, serial entrepreneurs Joshua Smibert and Adelle Charles founded Carbon Ads around the concept of Circles, hand-picked groups of quality advertisers and publishers. By improving the fundamental advertising relationship, Carbon Ads is improving the experience for consumers, with relevant, targeted advertising of interest to the network’s readership. Carbon Ads, launched in 2010 and is based in Seattle, Washington with backing from Ludlow Ventures.
