Marketplace Strategy was acquired in August 2018 by a digital marketing agency formerly known as SocialCode (under the Graham Holdings umbrella), which is now Code3. SocialCode’s acquisition of MPS was to demonstrate their commitment to offering a 360 degree solution to brands as marketplace expansion began to grow. We have continued to operate as Marketplace Strategy for the past three years and SocialCode went through a rebrand, resulting in Code3. Media, creative, and commerce are fundamental to digital marketers. In the past, each of these functions was siloed and leveraged to either drive awareness, consideration, or conversions. For example, media was effective in identifying and reaching audiences. And creative efforts were best used to engage consumers and drive them to a point of purchase on a marketplace or D2C website.
