How 2048 6x6 Works

The game takes place on a board containing six rows and six columns. Each move shifts every available tile in the selected direction. When two tiles with the same number touch, they merge into a single tile with twice their original value.

For example:

• Two 2 tiles combine to create 4.
• Two 4 tiles become 8.
• Two 8 tiles produce 16.
• This pattern continues through 32, 64, 128, 256, and higher values.

A new numbered tile appears after each valid move, gradually reducing the amount of empty space. The challenge is to create useful combinations faster than the board fills up. The game ends when no empty cells remain and no neighboring tiles can be merged.
